Post #12 in this thread shows my white 73 GM nose. You can see the three extra holes on lower end of the nose.
And what was the difference? Also, other than the color difference, was there a part number difference? Reason I ask is obviously the 73 only would be even more rare seeing it would be a 1 year only item. But, besides the color difference, was it more reinforced beneath the urethane seeing the crash standards were increased for 73?
Sorry for the delay in replying. That’s what I am willing to let it go for. It’s nothing about what one sold for on eBay. Just to cover my cost for the original purchase price and the cost of paying a body man a bunch of hours to get an aftermarket one to fit well. A body man can spend a few days making an oer one fit extremely well. That adds up pretty fastI'm super curious where the price comes from? Why not $5K? $6500? Is there data to suggest when they pop up, they always sell for that much? Its a serious Q.
I tried to do some searching, the only thing I found was someone said "the last one I saw sold for $1000"
My brother paid $1800 for his NOS Urethane nose 10-12 years ago. Since that time we acquired another NOS 73 nose. It could be purchased, however for anything less than 3k it will sit on a shelf until we are all dead and gone.
