Fully assembled engine minus flexplate, tried removing the crank pulley bolts but need an impact to remove them, weren't budging with a wrench and might have started stripped the bolt a little. Planned on using those bolts and a bar to turn it that way.

Will it be ok if I go to the hardware store and buy some long 7/16-20 bolts and use a bar to turn the engine at the flexplate bolt holes?
