Wow those panels sure are rough! Not sure if they're even usable or repairable and they want $500!
Boy i was going to sale my spare set for $350, maybe i need to triple my price
Those look really nice! You probably could triple your price.
what year are those panels? they don't look the same as mine
they are 73, I believe 72-73 are the same and 70-71 are the same.
I realize this is an old thread, however, I am wondering about the absolute statement that Van Nuys cars did not have iron oxide (red) primer on the bottom of the floor pan. In 1971 I purchased a 1970 Z28. It did have the iron oxide primer underneath and was a Van Nuys car. It was an early production car but I don’t remember how early. Perhaps the body was sent to Van Nuys from Norwood and the car assembled there?
I can't speak for 70-74
but I have a Van Nuys 75 and it was red oxide. I recently stripped it and can verify it was the original coating.
Here is a pic of my 07B Van Nuys built '70 Z28 and i believe that this is the original finish and it doesn't appear to be black, but red oxide.
Clm69z28 what is the paint code color of your car?
Hugger Orange, you can see a little of it around the gas tank filler neck.
