My temp gauge never went up 140 & above. I would like to verfy it. Two question for you guys.

1- What should be the resistance value of temp sending unit in ohms?
2- How can I verify if meter is correct.

My car is 74Z with U14

    Thanks

The resistance varies with the temperature

I don't have the temp vs resistance diagram. But if I were experiencing such problem, I would pull out the sender, extend the wire 1 or 2 meters (we do use metric system here thus it is cheese king not quarter pounder :p ) then dump it to a glass of water. I'll change the temperature of the water somehow while watching the gauge.

I didn't know that Mr Ömer's ex car had gauge problems ;-)

Come to our Döşer Oto Garage in Maslak. We will fix it. Send me an email before coming.

For Non-Istanbul pals, there are lots of 74 Camaros here in Istanbul.
