Just trying to get an idea, of where all the 1970 big block camaros have the vin stamped on the block. I have some conflicting info. Dale? David? others? Could you state assy plant and build date of car, and build date of engine? Thanks! Mike

Remember the Citrus Green LA built L-34 everyone wanted me to buy. Car is now in Calif

VIN was stamped on Bellhousing Flange. If you want the specifics I'll try and find.

Chuck, what was the cowl tag date on this particular car.....

My LA built L34 car also has the vin stamped down by the bell housing flange. My Cowl tag is O3B and the vin has all the same size characters including the #5..... unlike some later built LA cars that have a larger #5.

David, Are you sure your VIN stamping does not have 10N5xxxxx ?

numeral 1 stood for Chevrolet Motor Div.....0 for 1970 N for Norwood and so on!!

I read your post again and see where you used word PARTIAL .................

Mike, 1) How unusual for the number 1 to not be included in a NORWOOD Vin Stamping ?
    2) How unusual for a NORWOOD Camaro to be stamped on Bellhousing flange AND Deck ??????
