Hey guys I know it’s been almost a year, I’ve been so buisy BUT! that didn’t stop me from working on the car I just didn’t post as much. Well good news anyway is I did do a lot into getting this car closer to Finnish, it’s been one hell of a year.

Here I made brackets to hold my ls1 fans from the core support.

Got a little carried away and also made a pedal bracket since I’m running a gen4 ls motor it’s DBW

Needles to say guys I went with the CPP big brake kit as I was in a budget however it has since then been worth it. And it was suck an easy install.

And with that being said, big brakes required bigger wheels and tires. Since I’ve been on a tight budget for what I’ve wanted to do I went cheap on the tires as I planned on getting the car up and running shortly after I was just tired of waiting and wanted something to push me and motivate me to put more effort on the car.

Anddddd here’s where the build got interesting, I blew the budget out of frustration and not having time to mess with the wiring I ended pulling the trigger on the Holley terminatorX Max and I gotta day it was WELL WORTH IT!!! literally plug and play.

By blowing the budget I meant I got carried away, I wanted the cast aluminum intake as the Fast 102mm intake was sold I had gotten pretty much retail money for it I figured I’d go with this but.... little did I know I opened a can of worms with this intake.

Little did I know! Holley hi ram intakes/fuel rails don’t work with gen4 flex fuel injectors. I was certainly not going to get new Holley injectors after buying all this I figured I had to get a little innovative.

I did forget the dimensions but I made a spacer and tapped it to bolt the fuel rail onto it after measuring and measuring. (Made 10 of these and failed) on my 11th try I got it just right. To this day there’s no leaks.

This was the very first time I took the car around town, (to the muffler shop) since the dumped glass packs under the rear seats weren’t doing much for me. I tried making my own exhaust (I’ll post that later) but was just wayyyy too loud. Being in California it’s not wise to drive around that loud.

Here’s my roll dog she couldn’t wait. She just wondered when this damn thing was going to run! Her entire life she’s been next to me building this car. I thought it would be best to let her be the first to ride shotgun.

Remember when I said I opened a can of worms? Well when I started building this car I ended up using solid body bushings but I decided to lower the body what does that mean? This giant intake now sits higher than I thought! Oh we’ll guess I’ll just have to ride around with out a hood?. (It’s temporary) I just wanted to drive that damn thing!

And yes I know the us mags are very played out in our cars but I’ve been eyeballing these since they first came out and here they are. These are 20x9.5 and 20x8.5

Yes these are cheap upper control arms from summit but I couldn’t get anything sooner at the time and my stock ones were so bent i didn’t feel safe. (At least it’s what my wife believed)

Here at the alignment shop I noticed I ripped the rear sway at bolt on the left. Had to replace that, and had to replace a mother pricey part. My steering box. The damn thing was so destroyed I decide to call Keith at custom works and ordered a new PSG box from him. The turn radio is on this thing is amazing!

Also got a new set of gauges as the Holley 3.5 inch monitor wasn't doing it for me since at this point the car learned the tune and was my daily for most of the summer. Yes I’ll say it again I drove this car all around Los Angeles. Never left me stranded or had mechanical hiccups. The only time it did was entirely my fault. I RAN out of gas!!! Boy did that suck! Car died in the middle of a buisy street. Luckily there’s good people out there a gardener pulled up behind me got off guided traffic gave me a fuel can and followed me to the nearest gas station. Well gues what happens when you keep trying to start your car with a mechanical fuel pump and no gas? IT DIES!

And here is where I am currently. Building the cowl hood as I got tired of people walking up to my car leaning into it and tinkering with my engine bay I decided to put it back in the garage and start working on the hood, unfortunately the high rise has a peak height where the curvature of the hood begins. Uhh stay tuned.
