Just a heat gun plastic putty should do the trick?? any other things I should remember or hints??
razor blade work well with a little heat from a heat gun.
3M has a body solvent / adhesive remover that's safe to use on painted surfaces. It's available in quarts from body shop supplies and I've even see smaller 1/2 pint cans at some Walmarts accross the country.
Sometimes it helps to apply this on the surface before starting so you can get a corner or section started without damaging the paint underneath. Just soak the surface around the edge of the stripes or decals for a few minutes and then go after it.
This will also help remove any residue from the adhesives and the "edge" after the vinyl is pulled. The stuff is helpful to remove tacky or oily residue on interiors or other parts too.
here you go
