    If only we had known what a $2 oil filter would be worth in 50 years... :crazy:
    I don't think it's worth THAT much but they are a very difficult item to find if you need one for your 1000 point show car.

    Let's see. Oil change every 3000 miles. Filter costs $500. That equals to 17 cents a mile. Not a bad deal if you look at it that way. ;)

    But, who drives a show car 3000 miles before the oil is contaminated and needs to be changed along with that filter because it has been sitting around too long. The best oils available are rated for 1 year oil changes no matter how few miles they are driven, so look at it as $1.37 a day for filters.

    It will take a long time to hit 3000 miles when you only drive the car off and back on a trailer...:rolleyes:

    Someone will buy it, but honestly its a waste of cash unless its a museum car. If you drive it...then what? Never change the oil?? Looks like there might be a market for reproduction oil filters.
