Wall mount garage door opener

    Nice you could move it out of the way to get the car up higher. Bonus!!!

    I have no issue messing with the springs. I do have a serious respect for them when I do though. Mine broke a couple years back so I welded the 2 sides of the broken coils together. Works like a champ.

    Just about 11' to the ceiling and a little over 9' to the beam.
    The beam supports a room above the 3 car garage that I'm going to use as a shop for some of my woodworking tools.

    I have a wall mount setup using a standard type craftsman opener. I had new doors installed years ago, and the guy set mine up like that for a 4 post lift in the future. He had some type of an arm that he made up to grab the door on the bottom corner. The opener is on the wall at the top of the door with the chain and rail facing downwards.

    I'd be interested in seeing that as well, a buddy and I had a few too many beers and had that idea floating around.. Couldn't get to how to connect it to the door..

    That's crazy, would love to see the arm.
