Excellent news! Now google “Walter Breuning” and read up on him. It should give any colon cancer victim another reason to smile.

Time for another update. It's been 3 months since my surgery and the recovery is going well. I've been released to go back to work full time but with lifting restrictions still in place. I haven't had any major chemo side effects other than the neuropathy (extreme sensitivity to cold). They say I probably won't even lose my hair. My appetite, and consequently my weight, has bounced back as I'm back up to almost 200 lbs. I don't really want to go any higher which shouldn't be too hard as my activity level gets back to normal.

I've been working on a few projects while I've been off. My brother and I are building an engine run stand built on a small trailer to make it easily portable. We have been gathering parts and I'll post some pics as it starts to come together.

Also, today I bought another work truck project to replace the one that got flooded last spring. It's an 85 Chevy 1 ton with a 350 and a granny 4 speed. It has an 8' steel bed with both a receiver hitch and a recessed gooseneck hitch to pull my 36' horse/swap meet trailer. It needs some body work, wiring rehab, and the interior put back into it but it's supposed to run pretty well and the price was right at just $800. I guess we'll see... At some point soon, I'll lift the bed off to repair some rust issues and install an electric winch and a set of gin poles. It will be really nice to have a good heavy duty work truck again...
