Friend of mine from college called me a little bit ago....figured it was the usually happy new year blah blah. No. Another of our friends passed away last night. Of the 3 of us that went into the law enforcement schooling, he was the only one that saw it through. Been up in Calgary pretty much ever since, 12 years on the force. Was killed last night by two a holes on a traffic stop. hope they catch and hang them. Andrew was a good dude.

That is very sad to hear. You have my condolences for your loss. It’s unbelievable how society has gone down the toilet.

I read that today and got a call from a Mountie I worked with out there. Crappy incident. 19 and 17 year old wanted now for running over your friend while fleeing the traffic stop. Sounds like your friend was a good guy. News says Sgt. Harnett was a former military cop, and had been awarded 2 lifesaving awards with the Calgary police. Chief spoke very highly of him.

That's horrible Gramps. So very sorry. Hope they catch them soon and hang them. This is getting too common. No respect for anything or anybody. There was a police officer shot in front of the police station in the town I grew up in right before Christmas. This is a different world we're living in now.

I’m so very sad to hear about your buddy. Too much killing happening now days. Younger generation has no respect for human life.
