What are "oil filter landings"?

Looking into the parts I'll need to relocate the oil filter on my truck. I'm not really sure what a "oil filter landing" is. Is it the diameter of the oil filter gasket?

Also, what are the best flexible lines to use with engine oil? I think I'm going to use stainless steel AN fitting because of the salt corrosion.

Not sure about the "landing", unless that is where you mount the mounting bracket for the filter's new location?

Remember that the innards of the stainless steel hoses are rubber, the stainless steel braid is only a protective sheath of sorts. So do ensure that the rubber is compatible with engine oil, for a long time.
