^^^man that green one is NICE

the wheels wreck the truck, but with a set of body colored smoothies w/baby moons that would be a sick truck

I wouldnt mind scoring a rusty one of those with a long bed,and fixing the body(they make everything for it) and dropping the cab and bed on a late model deisel powered 3500 chassis. I even thought about how it might be possible to use a Suburban and a pickup cab to make a crew cab to fit on a crew cab dually chassis. Add some 19.5" dually wheels and it would be badazzed.

This. If I have a truck, it is being used as a truck. I want as big a bed as possible. Step sides have always been very unappealing to me. Everyone thinks differently I guess. Then again, I have never looked at any truck and applied the word "cool" to it. And lowering a truck? WTF? Never understood that one. Lifting one? Perfectly normal.

Some people would say that about a Camaro - or cars in general. Some people just aren't "Car Guys". It's okay, there are things for guys like you to do - like making floral arrangements, gardening, or watching baseball.

As noted by Champ... the inside of the bed is the same... you're only losing the wheel well space - can still fit a 4*8 sheet of plywood, etc, unless it's a shortbox... then it'll hang out a few inches and you have to leave the tailgate down.

Stepsides stopped selling because after about the mid-70's the designers got dumb and made trucks that look like a used tampon... before the 70's the only reasonably price trucks you'll find are fleetsides because they don't look right... nice front end and dumpy look looking bed. 70's Fords don't look too bad, but any old Ford (around here anyway) is gone as quick as it goes up for sale. Whoever designed the 80's and early 90's Chevy stepsides should be shot... they are atrocious.

I've always wanted a 58 Apache stepside, all I can find are fleetside longboxes that are totally cancered out, or $35k trailer queens. I don't like them $35k much.
