What can you tell me about the Cadilac Allante

I'm thinking I should back away and look for something else for him But finding him a roadster convertible for under $3k will take some looking. Hard part will be breaking the news to him that its just not a good idea. He was concerned with the high miles and sticky wiper switch anyway. If I was home where I could work on it and fix it up some it would be a different story but with me living away from home during the week that's just not practical.

My Dad just cut a check for $2500 and I could add another $500 or so. I dont want him or us to be stuck with payments. So, $3k is what we have to work with.

You'd have to be dead nuts to get one of those! They fold up hard on impact.

The convertible held up ok... not great but a lot better then the hard top.

Allante convertible top is manual, if I remember.

Look for an old 60 MGA and restore it. Great car to drive and will keep its value!
