I like Twisted's advice, including adding some pearl to the original blue. I've been thinking of the paint for my 71 and my buddy hoov81 told me to look at the paint on cars when I'm driving as well as looking at the dealerships for ideas.

Yea, it's probably the best advice I've been given...I've looked at so many paint chips that I'm not into it anymore.

The dealership idea is what I'm going to do. I also think Cadillac did a similar blue on some of their cars a few years back.

Google images can be helpful as well if you search for say "blue Camaros" or "1976 blue Camaro" and so on. That could give you an idea of what a color would look like on your car.

    Thanks Billy!

That's what I've been doing all morning at work - I also found the 2013 light blue metallic that Cadillac used and I'm liking that color as well!

So I think I have it narrowed down to 4 colors:

    Glacier Blue Metallic

    Iridescent Silver Blue Pearl:

    Silver Blue Metallic

    Or the Artic Blue Metallic:

I like the Glacier Blue Metallic because it appears to have less silver in it and it appears to be closer to your original color.

Can samples of each of these be bought to spray out and see in person?

I would guess it depends on who makes each color. You may want to talk with an auto paint shop as they may already have the color or could mix some up for you. I'm thinking you could search the name of the color and see who makes it (PPG, BASF, etc.) and perhaps get a code. There are members here that are much more familiar with paint than I am, but I don't see why you couldn't get a sample.

Even though I went with the original color on my 73Z (60 Light Copper), I went with BASF Diamont instead of PPG and the shop made a sort of miniature hood out of sheet metal for me so we could take it outside and I could see the color in the sun and shade.

You can go to an auto body supply store and take your wife and or girl friend with you ,They are better at colors than us guys are .Take that pictures with you then have them make up some color samples for you to pick from.
