I'm surprised they haven't already started another rogue site yet...adfreeZ28.com. It's happened before.

I almost fell out of my chair...at my desk...looking at my PC!

been to that other site lately? it's a JOKE...nearly zero activity

subtract 2" of ads from this monitor & I'm still at 22" of NastyZ28...I'm FINE with that!

No different than any other site these days. Irritating but necessary. This whole internet thing is just a fad anyway, won't last long.

The login just took an extra .5 seconds while some ad popped up. That's funny too.

Maybe mad mike should start a youtube channel so he can become a millionaire from ads. I'll bet he can fill .5 hours a day on social commentary and the like

If not for the adds, you would have already paid for the membership.
I don't think Mike and the other mods would spend all their time and money running a site for strangers, at their cost.
I never have understood why some complain about free entertainment?

To be honest I don't think people that don't financially support a forum has the right to bitch about whatever change forum owner or admins make. If you can afford a PC you can afford to support this place. Like Jeff said, I don't understand why people complain over something that's free. Place is a wealth of info about 2nd gens. Peeps should have no problem whatsoever giving a small token of gratitude in return.

Ads don't really bother me though. You gotta do what you gotta do. I'm pretty sure MadMike has been offered to sell this forum before, for a good price, and didn't do it.

^^^^This, be thankful MadMike hasn't sold the site. I am a member on Pavementsucks.com, last decade it was a popular site, maybe just as popular as Pirate4x4. The owner sold the site a year or two ago, old members stopped posting, new membership plummeted, and it may go weeks-month before something is posted.

Be thankful he is a generous man.

With the amount of money, time and effort this site has saved me over the years (not to mention what I have learned) I am happy to accept small changes to keep this place up and running.

Thanks to the people that keep the lights on here. 2 camaros later and I couldn't have done it without this site and the members who have helped.

I am shocked more people dont run firefox and adblock plus. I havent seen an AD in years. Not even youtube videos have ad's that you have to wait for before you can view the video you want to watch.
