I am in the stages of putting the motor together and started thinking about headers and what will fit, i have a set of jet hot long tubes but they are for a 95 firebird dont look like they will fit might touch the frame. so what headers should i look at getting i have my stock dynomax headers from my old motor but they arent pretty enough.

I went with the Summit brand coated headers for my 81 camaro. I have since upgraded to Hedman coated headers. Either way, you should match the headers to the chassis so they clear the proper interference points. Don't worry about the D port exhaust outlets, normal round tube headers will seal perfectly fine and I only had to slightly dimple of the tubes for the angle plugs. It was almost too easy:cool:

I have square port heads not D ports but I am assuming the gen 1 headers look to fit. will just test fit them tonight.
