To the right buyer, absolutely. In time these cars in original form will be desirable to collectors. However they are not unique and rare...you would probably be surprised how many are actually out there in collections. Based on what I saw at Mecum and BJ, the resto-mod cars are starting to gain more popularity (The young folks) and I think the later sec gens are going to be ideal for this as they sucked in the performance arena. You want a 190hp 1979 Z28 or a LS swapped 430 horse, 6 speed 1979 Z28 with modern comfort and AC? The people who in their 30s-40s didn't grow up with low technology and carbs...They want the modern comforts and horsepower. My first car was a 1985 Ford Escort....I can't imagine driving anything with a carburetor.
