Where where they found, front or rear of car? If they are real soft and were found at rear of car they could be plugs for holes in the trunk floor or came from the holes in the rear panel of the car? If they were bumpers I would think they would have wear and I dont see that. Good luck and let us know

My 79 has a rubber bumper above the pinion of the differential in the center.
We might be getting closer, I'll have to check that under the car when I get home,,, if that's the case, would they just fall out when the car is jacked up and then let back down? Nothing to secure either of them?
