You should pick up a set of those 4-2-1 headers, then you could test another thing. Cause inquiring minds want to know.:bowtie:

Is your car lowered with the Hookers S/C? I plan on lowering the car with Hotchkis 2in drop all he way around. Just wondering if yours scrap the ground at all.

Didn't know you were going to lower the car. This changes things. DO NOT GO LONG TUBE. You will scrape. You need to listen to LowEnd.. and go Mid Pipes. HEADMAN 68608.

Hahaha I already leaning toward Hedman mid length, just making sure that it’s 100% the best choice.
The mid-length headers they had on “All Girls Garage” today fit really good, I just don’t know what brand they were.

Funny you should mention that. I picked these up a few weeks ago to test this year.

Nope, not lowered and no ground scraping with them. Now the BBC super comps is another story.

All of the header tube configuration testing was done and done before 1964. There's really no question on the Tri-Y/4-2-1 design being more efficient at lower RPM's. Tri-Y's are just more work to make and more expensive

I've only made one set of headers in my life, they were 4-2-1 & I think they would be easier than 4-1. Easier to fit ,less tubing involved.
