I have raced autocross, once on dirt flat track and 1/4 mile drag racing. Might turn our Futura into an autocross car for my wife. She used to, then sold the car. She won't drag race at the track. But, she will autocross. Her choice.

Crewed on World of Outlaws Sprints years ago. Did some motocross around the same time. Got older, then switched to drag racing cars and bikes. Got even older, still own a couple sport bikes but do not race them. Mostly do car shows now and the occasional blast down the track. Still crew on a methanol blower car from time to time. I still love building cars and bikes but my body hates it and makes me pay with pain for days after.

Guy I raced with had a sticker on his trailer: "CAUTION: This trailer contains an incurable disease!". That about says it all.
We race 1/4 mile. I think my racing days are about over. I already have one job, and anymore, that's enough. Kid has a mid 8 sec. first gen street car.

Exactly, people don't realize most of us don't get paid for helping on these damn things!!!
Maybe the guys on TV are paid crew, most of us little guys are not!!!

My crew chief has been bugging me to build a 632 he has laying around for my car.
I have way too much going on, and plan to run the firebird locally and worry about the T/S car next season.
