I have a zt 7000 craftsman 50" zero turn mower. 22' Briggs v twin engine. 295 hours, brand new starter, blades, deck belt, just gave engine a tune up, starts and runs good. Not sure on age as Im the second owner but I think its 5-6 years old Has headlights I have an extra air, oil, fuel filters, and an extra deck wheel and bracket I think it originally sold in the $3K range. I have 5 acres and its just not fast/powerful enough. I want to find a good deal on a used 61" scag turf tiger. 27hp liquid cooled kawasaki This is basically the same exact one
Wow. I had no idea. Looks like $1500 obo might not be very out of line to ask on craigslist. One guy had 500 hours on his asking 1100 and 1500 on another with 350 hours I was thinking $400. Guess these mowers hold their value a little better than I thought!
You will be amazed in the difference in power between the briggs 22 horse and the kaw liquid cooled! We have 2 big simplicity riders one with a 54" deck and a 20hp briggs the other with a 60" deck and a 20 hp liquid cooled kaw. The briggs will bog in heavy grass but the kaw makes more noise as it comes off the governor but never slows down unless you get in some seriously tall grass!
Air cooled kawa on the JD tractor here at the house. Pretty easy to work on too. Buddy has an older twin cyl one on his...piece of cake...the rest of the tractor is my issue. As bad as it is to say, they get a vote from me as well for reliability.
First guy to look at it. Asked me what my bottom dollar was and Hes picking it up for $1300 tomorrow I tried out my buddy's dad's turf tiger today. 12 years old with a 22hp kawasaki water cooled engine. Worked pretty good. Id found a nearby 2003 61" turf tiger with 380 hours 27hp water cooled kawasaki for $6900, and based on what Ive seen compared to other listings, its a darn good deal Still need to sell a couple vehicles and a log splitter to get it though
