Should be a TH400 but check with the boys over at www.v8buick.com they're super helpful there. My 430-powered '67 funny car originally had a TH400 in it...
well i found a website that says it should have a 3-speed Super Turbine automatic. not familiar with those. wondering if thats a suitable engine/tranny to go in my camaro?
Most likely a ST-400. (Buick name for the TH400 3-spd auto before they were used across the GM line.) Some of the early-mid 60's units used a switch pitch torque converter. I don't think the SP units were available any more in the 68 model.
THe 430 buick motor got the super turbine 400 which like stated is a turbo 400 in the BOP bolt pattern case. The super turbine had a couple of other clutch plates. Mike
