I've got to assume from the links and other posts this is a 427 small block and not the LS 427.
Whatever you do.... If you're going to spend money on valve covers, get something that isn't a tin shell.
Chromed tin is only worth getting if someone gives them to you, IMO.
Cast aluminum or nicely migged pieces are far better when it comes to keeping oil on the inside.
(Isn't that their primary purpose?)

Yea, you're right. A 427 small block. Was going to put in the GM Performance 383 stroker but they had recalls on them and told me they weren't sure when they would be in production again...I couldn't wait for that so I had to go a different route.
