I do not think he will need to spin it that high.
Given the fact it was stated in the first post that they are "massaged AFR 195's" (even though I thought they were the 210's) either way, with the Hyd Rollers, 427 CI at 7k, it may be "able" to turn 7K, but the fact that the combo is based on the Shafiroff 427/565hp build, it peak's at 5,800 don't see this hanging on another 1,200 rpm without a good falloff or hitting the choke point.
Also, 7K with 400# over the nose, 1.6 RR with heavy Hyd Rollers and 5/16 .080 wall PR without a stud girdle, I'd be watching this real close, seen some combo's like this, not saying they "can't" do it, but there not that happy up there.
I'm running ARP 7/16th rocker studs
The only thing I don't like about my motor is Shafiroff spec'd the motor with a aftermarket style Hyd roller spider / Dog bone set up
The ARP 7/16th rocker studs are not the issue themselves.
The spider/dog bone setup is pretty good. I'm not sure, but that style of lifter may be lighter than the linked ones. Many 10's of thousands of motors with that setup have been running around out there for many years, many up to 3, 4k miles without issues from the spider and dog bones. No plastic LS lifter trays to wear and fail.
That setup should run easy 10's off the trailer. The drag radials will be the limiting factor so getting them to hook will be the key to the good times.
I doubt you'll see 7k with hyd rollers. Why didn't you go with solid?
As far as DRs go, I ran 10.85 on MT's
So when's the first track day with the new engine?
Tracks closed until next year or until Covid 19 is no more , this according to the tracks website
Did however just made a test hit on a deserted stretch of road here in the Desert . Doing two test hits it blew the tires off once from the hit and other from a 20mph roll
I guess I need to adjust / tune the suspension and new drag radials or slicks
