What would need to be done to make the motor like this?

    I am a big fan of reducing parasitic loss as a starting point.
    Electric fans and electric waterpump make a noticeable difference without taxing the engine any further.
    The electric fans will also be utilized if you do end up ls swapping it.

    Any more specific upgrades are really dependent on the direction you want to take the build.

    electric fans was one of the first things I was probably going to do, especially because I noticed the temp would start to rise when I was at a stop light. (though that could have also been other issues)

    I'm currently still in the heavy planning phase, realistically I won't be able to do any mechanical work for about another month or so, so I'm just writing things down and learning as much as I can.
