Try that in let's say, Russia, Singapore, N. & S. Korea, Japan, or China & let's see what happens !!! I think he got the best bargain he would've got ANY where else. Especially since he got back on.

So now, as more information has become available, we know that the "passenger" had already deplaned peacefully.

He then illegally reboarded the plane and was guilty of criminally trespassing on a United Airlines plane.

They peacefully asked him to leave the plane again and he refused.

At that point an O'Hare security guard (not an airline employee) forcibly removed him.

I have no sympathy for this passenger - act like an a$$hat - get treated like an a$$hat.

As far as PR is concerned, they committed business suicide...let's see how this plays out.

All United did was ask him to leave the plane. It was a Chicago Department of Aviation security officer (not an employee of United) that may or may not have used excessive force - and that was only after the Dr. had illegally rebordered the plane commiting criminal trespass and created a disturbance that would have anyone ordered off the plane.

Some have claimed the officer was suspended - but in fact he has been placed on paid leave - pending further investigation. Pretty normal response while the facts of the case are determined.

If this "gentleman" has a beef, it is with the City of Chicago.

Yes, United took a brief hit.

That supposed $750 mil "loss" is BS though.

United closed at $70.71 today. Six months ago, United stock was trading at $53.69. This morning, United stock opened at $70.15 after closing at $70.53 yesterday. Funny thing their stock actually went up in value today despite all the "outrage".

So this was just a momentary blip in their "value". Smart money bought when the reactionaries were selling.
