Came across a post from a new member who started a project thread about his "not a camaro". I was under the impression this site was about 2nd generation Camaros, not its cousin. I do recall in the past people posting about other generation Camaros and being directed to the appropriate sites. Opinions ?

I saw the one on Z24 build, found it kind of interesting. I say if you're a veteran member who has been here for a while, post them up. Interesting to see what other people here are working on. Don't think I'd feel the same way about someone who is new to the site doing it though.

This site is primarily for 2nd gen Camaros, but members here have other cars, trucks, projects, etc. I don't see a problem with posting up non-Camaro stuff (except for maybe Mustangs, just kidding). When people are directed to other sites, it's often because they are asking a specific question about their vehicle and the knowledge base is much bigger on a site for that specific vehicle. As far as 2nd gen Firebirds, they have some similarities to the Camaro and some members like or have both. I guess all in all, it's up to the mods to decide what's appropriate or not for this site.
First which section is it in? I mean I dont think it would belong in the technical help sections by any means but if it is in the BS topic who cares? I like seeing what others are up to. Woodys Beretta is a prime example, nothing camaro about it but I like seeing the progress. Second is it a 2nd gen firebird? I mean if so the car is probably 75% the same as a Camaro so many things are applicable to both.

since he is saying the Camaro's cousin, I am assuming he is upset about the Trans Am project thread. I mean, you could in theory limit all conversation on this site to 2nd gen Camaro only, however I suspect this site would cease to exist shortly after.

It's a 2nd gen fbody, I'm ok with that. And it's not an epidemic of any sort.
