Jerhofer I'm moving away from Chrome but I have to say .....poo man.....

That is one badass LS layout you got going there. I'm jealous.
I might have to copy your tastes a bit.

How much was the hydro-immersion CF on the intake??
I think you sold me on the valve covers too.....those look hot.

    Thanks.

I have been a sports car guy most of my life with most of those being foreign models. Wouldn't even think of chroming anything on them.

However....., this is my show car! I guess I am approaching this car like I would have when I was much younger and chrome was king. Obviously there is no big round air cleaner, but I wanted a somewhat "old school" look to a LS motor. I have had a number of people say the coil covers make it look like a "Big Block". The polished front runner kit gives a much lighter look compared to the stock brackets and pulleys making the front of the motor another focal point. Plus, it needed some bling to stand out in that very black engine bay.

The finish was already on the intake when I bought it. There is someone on EBay doing it for $200.

there Dynatech race stepped headers that I had for my 98 Trans Am, never put them on the 4th gen and couldnt sell them so when I started this project I used them, one of the pipes on the passenger side had to be squeezed a bit so later on I may swap them out for some others, but most I have found hang to damn low:( I might see about mid length or even shorty ones if push comes to shove

Pace Performance, Alot cheaper then going through Edelbrock and they are made by Edelbrock (just no logo) But if u are using Vette assc u will have to modify them on the alt side by cutting some away. I ordered the cast finish and had a local powder coater do the black on them to match my intake.

PS: make sure u are using LS1 style coils and not Truck style coils, they will not line up on the underside cause Truck coils have farther spaced mounting points
