    Dear all,

after some 10 miutes of driving my 80 camaro one of front wheels starts squeaking as it turns.
If I apply brakes squeaking stopps and after releasing brakes squeaking continues.
If I turn wheel by hand on lifted car after drive, it squeaks.
After some time (when it cools down perhaps) wheel does not squeek any more when turned by hand.

I have not addresses this issue yet, but I'd need some advice on where to start and what to check out first.
    Brakes I assume?

    Many thanks in advance,
    M

Agree with MChamp. Could be your pads. Also could be a caliper is sticking. Check the fluid in your MC for any debris or moisture, then your brake hoses for condition and any signs of a leak. Then the condition of your caliper parts and rotors. Could be rusty parts.

Brake dust can make funny noises too. Give the pads and calipers a good blow job with compressed air.

    Thanks guys!

Brake fluid is new, flex hoses replaced and system flushed.
Could it be that I have too much brake fluid and it applies brake when it heats up and expands? A bit far-fetched, but just as an idea.

    So I shall:
    - check and clean brake pads and rotors
    - replace brake pads if step above does not fix it
    - replace rotors and/or calipers if damaged

    Hopefully this'll do it :)

    Many thanks,
    M

Just for measure have you checked your lug nuts ?

mare they torqued right ? Sometimes if they’re loose they’ll make noises and wobble

Make sure the caliper slide pins and the contact points have some brake grease on them.

That may be all that’s needed for the calipers to fully release and avoid the squeaking.

Might be a slightly warped rotor too.

Brake lube all the moving parts and make sure the low pad squeal alarm isn’t partially bend towards the rotors.

Might not be bent, pad life hasn't been mentioned. Might actually be doing its job.

Wheel nuts are torqued down according to specs. As far as rotor nut, I am not sure.
Brake pads came with car but there is alot of material on them.
I greased the assembly up in the past when changing the flex hoses, however will check all the mentioned things.
Many thanks for your input guys!
