Buy a GPS and figure it out yourself!
Appears Scotty nailed it though.
Strip Club and Ferrari is the next girl on the satellite stage?
Yes it would appear Scotty wins....
More to come when time permits.
Bring us back a couple of Ferraris!
I"ll be driving one in August at the Grand Sport Speedway!!! can't wait!!!
Wind tunnel building?
You're very fortunate, that is a dream trip of mine!! more pics please!!
That is awesome you are there. Let us know more when you can.
Were you there on the weekend? I ask because I wondered if they do anything special on F1 weekends at the factory. The race was in Barcelona this weekend, wondering if you watched at Maranello! I think you were on the road car side of the racing thing, but I assumed the whole place would be watching on F1 weekends?
I heard that Ross Brawn stopped by earlier in the week, any chance you saw him?
Sorry for all the questions!
You ......Lucky .......Bastard.
BTW My kid still loves his Ferrari, and I thank you brother.
If I can ever get you something from Chicago, let me know.
I flew out on Friday so I missed watching it there. In speaking to a colleague from there, the local movie theater shows the F1 during the colder months and during the warmer months, they project it off a building in the town square and everybody comes and watches.
Yes I did happen to see Ross Brawn while there by chance. Monday we ate at a place called Ristorante Montana which is well known place where all the F1 people go to eat. My group walks in and there at a table was Ross eating with a group of people. About a 1/2 hour later, in walks my old boss Marco Mattiacci who just became head of F1. He stopped and said hello so it's nice to know he hasn't forgotten about us little guys. Later in the night as we were leaving, he and Ross were out in the outdoor lounge having a drink so we were all speculating what was going on. We thought Ross was coming back but that doesn't appear to be the case. I did get to see all of the F1 garages and shop along with what I'd call the F1 car graveyard...a big garage where they store all the older (and not so old) F1 cars they still have and for sale if someone with the means wants to buy one. Unfortunately no photos allowed in that section. Even if I snuck some, I'd probably get in some deep doo doo if I posted them.
I will post some more pics here though. Technically you aren't suppose to take any pics inside but I snuck these all with my cell.
Restaurant I mentioned earlier:
Turning circle just outside the factory:
Looking down "Enzo Ferrari Viale" towards the foundry:
The old entrance which is still in use today. Most pics you see of the factory is of this entrance. This is one of the original buildings. Most of my meetings took place inside this building.
Paint shop...sorry, no postable pics. from inside.
View from product development building.
They have so many Ferrari's there, they just hang them off the walls....
Inside the engine plant
Steve McQueen's 275
End of the V8 production line
That visit would be jawdropping.
