Which one (new car) do I get ?!?

    I usually don't this but I thought what the heck. My sons truck took a dump yesterday and will cost more to fix than what it is worth. Out of the two vehicles I have narrowed down to, which one & why ?!? Please no bashin... Just asking a question here. Thanks
    Both cars will be brand new....And both auto trans. & 4 doors

    2015 Ford Fusion with Eco boost v6 w cloth int. for $23,250 or

    2015 VW Jetta TDI (turbo) diesel w leather int. for $25,100

    I'm at one of the dealers now burning time :)

    I think he'd be happier with the Fusion...especially someone younger.

    Either way your sons a lucky kid if dad is at the dealer getting him any kind of a brand new car. Make sure he knows that lol.

    ^^^ he's getting my 2007 STX F-150! It's like new 90k miles...But yeah he was like, awesome !! He is very thankful.

    VW hands down. I know a couple people with milage ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 on the deisels and still running strong.

    You'll get better mpg in the VW but the fusion is a heck of a car.

    My vote is for the Fusion, but either way check out the dealer well...

    My parents have some friend who bought a VW (this is unrelated to my choice) that took it in for an oil change and some warranty work...and when he was going back to pick it up, he passed it on the road. They'd lent it out to a 16 year old to drive (with mom), and didn't see any problem with it, it needed road tested anyway right? This dealer is like that, I'm sure yours are professionals, but make sure you know who is doing the warranty work for you before you buy!

    Ask around they'd known this if they'd bothered to ask... Ask friends stop by the service department and just watch for a bit...just my 2 cents on something new...you're also "buying" the dealer.

    Ecoboost in the Fusion is only 4cyl, IIRC.
