whining noise need advice

    when I let off the throttle it wines pretty bad, all gears.coasting.if I give any throttle, or push in clutch, the noise goes away..trans is a rich t10 with under 2000 miles....was fine when I parked it last week.. dumped the trans gear oil and rear and don't see any metal flake..help!!

    Check the pinion nut. It's probably loose. Torque it to 125 foot pounds and see if the noise goes away.

    thanks BGH, exactly what it was..what makes that loosen up.??I put red Loctite on it and torqued it..all better..

    Just the twist of the driveline. Somehow they get loose sometimes.
