Who has installed Vintage Air?

How is the dash controller secured to the dash? I saw 2 Phillips screws that look like they go through control panel but actually held lower dash to upper section.

Looking at it from the back it had 4 small nuts on studs and I removed them didn’t budge. I don’t see any other mounting hardware and hope the dash isn’t modified for that controller.

I found Installation instructions on line and there is no drawing and contains one sentence “ install dash control assembly” or the like... don’t want to break it...

OK, just crawled under the dash, from what I can see there are two points at the top where it fits into the opening (maybe slots), then at the bottom I can see two screws that screw through a plate into two spots on the stock dash to secure it. Hope this helps.

my 73 is on the rotisserie , it is redy for blasting and epoxies primer plus black satin paint job . i rely need air so i just google it and came across this

designed for smooted farewall instalation .... **** , so i need to fit this before paint the firewall . i will have to buy it like right now .

I removed the blower motor block off plate. Is there any other modification to that area? Do I just bolt the heater box to the wall and the blower motor to the box?

Do I need to use that dum dum to seal it?

I don't see any modifications. So yes just bolt on the box and blower motor. The factory did use a caulk type seal

Where do you get the caulk seal?

You can use 3M Strip Caulk or a search for rolls of butyl sealing tape.
