Never know when you are walking around lucky
I don’t believe I’ve ever found or lost one of them.
You don’t really need a 10 mm socket if you own a worn-out 3/8” socket and a hammer.
I have! I found a 10mm snap on 1/4" drive socket once.
I was walking back to my truck after making a delivery and saw $150 sitting in a puddle .So I put it under the heater to dry it out.Score !
I'm still going with the bermuda triangle theory. For the amount of 10mm sockets that have been lost, we should be tripping on them during a daily walk.
That's about equal to the OP's $50 bill.
When I as a kid I had a job working the grounds when the fair would come to town. I always made sure to swing by the Carny's trailers first thing in the morning. Almost guaranteed there was cash on the ground from the drunks getting back to their trailers late at night. The we would move on to sweeping out between all the event tents and rides (The Zipper was the most lucrative) so the street sweepers could get the garbage. Also a good source of income for a 16 year old kid. Made more in a day on found money then I was ever paid in wages.
Fun times those were!
We used to do the same. Plus car washes, vending machines, phone booths, arcades or anywhere else that people were handling money. My kids found drive thrus paid off well.
Its like when someone sees Jesus in their tortilla.
