For those of you running an electric brake vacuum pump on your cars, where are you mounting them and what brand did you use?

I notice SSBC makes one but its $275. Is there any cheaper alternatives?

My engine only makes 12.5-13hg of vacuum in park and only about 9-10 in gear so my 9" booster isn't going to cut it.

Would a vacuum canister suffice instead of a pump?

I put a new one that was designed for medical use (in an ambulance) and it worked fantastically. I think it was made by GAST or something like that.

I have torn the car apart and don't plan to use it again. If you want to try it out, I'll make you a DEAL on it. PM me if you're interested. It's an impressively made piece of machinery.

I think I might try the vacuum canister route and try that out first. If that fails, I will definitely talk to you. Where did you have it mounted?

That's a good plan. Mine was mounted to the left inner fender in front of the left front wheel/behind the left headlight where the charcoal cannister was when new.

I don't, but I can snap one soon, hopefully tonight. I'll do my best to snap a picture tonight and send a PM.
