windows 10 dissconnecting wifi device

has any one else have windows 10 turn off your wifi device, i went to microsoft and other sites and tried every thing that was said to do to keep windows 10 from turning off the wifi device any suggestions.

I didn’t have that problem but I had a problem with a sluggish system with Win10 and removed KB4556799 update then installed the Windows Update troubleshooter and proactively block KB4556799 to stop it from coming back. My laptop is once again acting faster and correctly.

Yes, you need to uninstall that update that COPO mentions. It is broken and Microsoft doesn't know how to fix it.

yes but the update keeps coming back, i tried update trouble shooter and i doesn't do any thing, so every day i reset the wifi to keep the computer from disconnecting. i tried everything microsoft say will fix it . nothing has worked

There should be a way to turn off automatic updates and override Microsoft's stupidity. Look into that.

Funny you should mention this... I have an old Win7 laptop where I recently installed some Windows updates and whenever I put the laptop to sleep and open it up again, the Wifi doesn't automatically connect like it used to.

I've been all over the control panel and the drivers trying to make sure no inadvertent settings got flipped, but to no avail...

Uh oh. I just did a 2 hour update on the wife's desktop on win 10. I'm probably going to catch hell pretty quick. Thanks for the advance warning.
