I know what a wheelhouse is. I just think it's an stupid, over-used term to describe something related to whatever you do.

My firefighter/paramedic son uses that phrase all the time...

I was specifically forbidden to use it when I was a rescue worker. Department policy was they could se the badge and uniform so it was redundant as well as some of the people we'd help didn't like the government.
