IMG_3882[21996].jpg Hi Dave, you are correct. Shouldn't copy and paste so early in the am. My car has the 3962740 motor mounts in it now, so yes I will revise the ad. Thanks for the clarification.

Dave, As I researched further the 3962740 mounts, I am having trouble deciphering the differences between the different part #'s on the mounts. The AIM references for the L34 396 BB-which is the same ones used in the Z28-use the 3964886 and 3982307 stands and 3962740 motor mounts. My Z has the same stands and the original 3962740 (I cans see some faint gold paint on them therefore I believe that was the correct part #)motor mounts still in the car ( which I just removed as they were shot). If I use the dimensions of the current aftermarket mounts recommended for my application- Anchor 2283- and compare them to my 3962740 mounts and the 3962478 mounts, they are all virtually the same, meaning any one of these part #'s would be the correct mount for the tall and narrow stands. So I am confused as to the difference between all of these part #'s. It appears that the 3962478 will work in this particular situation, any thoughts?

I suppose that I should post this in the original drivetrain section, but I thought I would see what you thought of my findings first.

Yeah, same thing here. I looked this topic up at CRG as late 69’s used the same mounts. No clear answer as to what the difference is between the ‘478’s and ‘470’s. My only big guess is maybe durometer of rubber. Maybe they changed it slightly for different frequency of vibrations for hi-po versus standard etc. I might be giving the engineers too much credit here for 1970 technologies, but who knows.

A set of Anchor 2283 motor mounts fit fine, so according to the comparison chart in the link that you sent means that the 3962748 mounts should also work, adding further confusion as to the correct part # application.
