I got the metal clips for mine at AMK. T-head metal retainer, fits .25 hole, 25 pack $17.19 back in 2018. #B-14179-25 I thought it was 5 clips per side. Been a long time.
I had NOS LH and RH of these pieces for many years, was going to install them but the only way was to loosen fenders. It seemed like to much trouble. so I sold them. Do they really work to keep out water. John.
By looking at them, I don’t think they were meant to seal. They look more like a chafing barrier for the fender to the cowl. Maybe noise or vibration prevention too.
I've heard they can reduce wind noise but I think they are like a door sweep and keep leaves from going into the lower fender.
Nobody reproduces them, but they reproduce the long rubber pieces that go down the side of the inside fender that the Z-28 received standard. That is strange. Should be much easier to make the smaller seals. John.
