I'm going to say straight up here. 1970 L34 camaros did not receive smog pumps. I've seen a lot of 70 L34 camaros. Also know these cars very well. Your build sheet does not have air in block 41 to say your was built with smog. Not trying to upset you but, I think you should start searching for correct NON smog exhaust manifolds and call it a day. Just my 2 cents. Those 1970 smog manifolds probably would sell here easily to buy the correct no smog manifolds for you car.

Looks like my 77 Z28 4-spd that I ordered new did not have smog.

My 80 Z28 had it but I can’t remember if my 78 Z28 came with it since I didn’t take a photo.

I really appreciate your time and opinion on this. I don’t know why someone would intentionally swap out exhaust manifolds. I would venture to say that it occurred when the CE block was installed. At any rate, they are awesome cars, and I’m enjoying putting it back together. Thanks again!

It is my understanding the L-34 did not receive the smog pump because it met all pollution standards without it, unlike the L-78 models.

When I needed some new tubes back in 2007 I went to GM and they ordered them from a shop that bought all the tube stock from all the GM parts warehouses. They were I believe $15 each.

Length of tube - Measured with the wide end on a flat surface
with a metal straight edge it comes to 68mm or 2-11/16.

I’m sure if someone really wanted to they could make their own with a flaring tool.

Is it possible that this was for the 49 but that California may have required the pump? They had their own set of requirements in 1970, hence the NA9 evap systems. I don't know, just throwing it out there.
