My car had new doors on it when I got it. The top of the doors on the outside should have about 6 studs on them to attach the clips that hold the bright trim on the top of the door correct ?
Forgot to mention pilot holes will need to be drilled. Not to worry if you drill through the inner door frame as the outer window sweep will cover almost anything.I recently installed the Z21 upper door stainless trim on my Aug built Z28 . I purchased short self taping screws from home depot and drilled correctly spaced holes along the door panel and installed them with the proper clips. Just measure 1/4 inch down from top of door skin and install. Then install trim to top of clip then roll over to bottom and they will snap in place. I can try to post pics if required.
Pics of process to install Z21 door upper mouldings. Sorry if they are not in order. If you drill into paint, watch out for chips of paint flying off even with tape on it. Paint is hard.
You have a picture of the screws you used I have not purchased the clips yetPics of process to install Z21 door upper mouldings. Sorry if they are not in order.
