A bit of a purist here, so just my opinion. If you have an original 72 z28, it’s one of only 2,575 cars ever sent off the assembly line. Theres so much value in the car when kept original. I’d leave her as is. Also, it’s not cream yellow is it??

Replace the factory front coils with new stock coils. It will raise your car naturally. Especially if it has been sitting on the stock ones for the last 53 years, driving it or not.

On that topic ^^^ I guess I won’t be popular with you or the purists then…….I have a GM documented 1972 Z28 with GM importation / shipping & option data package stating its 1 of the 178 Z28’s brought to Canada, and 1 of the 54 of the Z28 that came with the M22 .

Oh, and it’s code 56-56 Cream Yellow with YF8 black stripes.

If I took biker for a ride in the
“Cream Demon” ….well, that would not sound right to me lol

Yeah - I think I'd throw a set of factory springs on the car and see how it sits. You can always cut the springs for a drop later (1/2 coil = ~1" drop).

That car sounds more like the Cream Dream to me! Have you showed it on here before? I'd like to see it. I almost bought a cream RX-7 years ago, but didn't.

That almost had me going. My father had the same car. Same color and everything, just for sure had the M21. The M22 was a super rare option to find. I’m with a few others on this one. Drop a new set of stock springs in and see what it does. Id find an old v6 and drop a crate motor in and tool away with that before I’d start hackin away at the cream demon.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I appreciate it. I'm going to go with the stock option. I've already bought the parts so I'm all set. thanks again.

I like the look of this Cream colored Camaro, I didn't think this color would ever work for me, but this one does.
Different stance and suspension than this topic, of course.

HA! I do appreciate a stock original car, but when you can make a weapon out of such a classic looking car, why wouldn't you? ⁰
