I like the BFG on the left. The brown leaching is the ozone protectant inside the rubber. The 1st 4 I bought several yrs ago I had replaced under warranty because the browning just would not clean up. The next 4 were better.

I use this tire cleaner. Your spray, let if sit for 1 min, you can see the brown coming out of the complete tire, scrub with brush, rinse along with the brush. Repeat until no more brown leaches out. I have a friend who tried to buy this and they no longer sell it. Also the cleaner by Turtle Wax which works is no longer available in the USA. It never was in Canada. I bought it near Niagara Falls Buffalo border.

Why is it that whenever a product works well they take it off the shelf? Too toxic?
Unbelievable.

They take stuff off the market that works because the products are racist.
I herd the BFG letters are turning brown because one of the factory workers accidentally dropped a bean and cheese burrito in the lettering mix.
I also am becoming disenchanted with BFG's. I'm seriously looking at Mickey Thompsons as my next purchase.

I just rebuilt the front end steering on my 68 and decided the replace the tires before the alignment.
All four originally purchased in 2016, says Made in U.S.A on inside
2 new fronts purchased last month, says Made in Mexico on inside.

Not that I much care where they were made, but the white letter font is noticeably different, front and rear now.
WTF... BFG couldn't afford to ship the correct font mold to Mexico when they outsourced them.
Just pisses me off and had the bitch a little, rant over...
I bought some 205 60 R15 T/A radials in the early 2010s Seems I saw that corky coker was making them for Goodrich, they're brown letter, not white letter

I've bought 2 new sets recently. One this year & one last yr. Haven't had the browning issues, but I went thru a bunch of SOS pads getting the blue off. Used tire cleaner with the pads & they still have a slight tint of blue to them.

Also, in a similar story...
I bought a pair of Mickey Thompson Indy Profile S/S tires for the rear of my 78 Camaro, this was probably in 1990 or 91 & I couldn't keep those things white for nothing. They were always brown. Used to drive me nuts !!! 🤬

I have always ran BFG tires on everything I owned due to I have never had a flat or any other issue. I always mounted them with the letters facing out because I like the font/logo and the company has a proven track record. I have friends that hate white letters and always face them in, maybe it's time for me too. Back in the late 80's I had a F150 4x4 with All Terrain 35" BFG's that I took on a 8500 mile trip to all the national parks in Canada and the US and 20% of the trip was off road. I had no issues at all with the tires.
