Debating....my 400 block is at the machine shop. Haven't ordered pistons yet and I just scored a weiand 177 supercharger. Should I stay NA or build a torque monster???

Based on what the sonic checks come back as, and what the final bore can be, I'd built an NA torque monster.....

Camaro update, just picked up a t56 magnum. So gonna be selling my th400 , anyone have any experiences with t56 installs ?

JME, be sure to measure and take notes of the actual current and existing pinion and drive line angles so you will have your baseline.

I've done the T6060 Magnum install, mine required a new tunnel, but the frame is tucked up and engine is also set back, but they are bigger, and needs some clearance work most likely to get it to sit correctly in most cases, just saying.

Yeah, but I'd like it to fit the console, so I'll probably order the offset shifter, there's a couple companies that offer swap kits, crossmember, proper shifter etc. Figure why re-engineer the wheel

Should not be an issue. Give Silver Sport Transmission a call, that's who I worked with and was & still satisfied. I got everything to fit, including the console even if things had been moved and modified.

I am third for Silver Sport Transmission.
They have perfect warranty service.

I had problems with the tightness of the speedometer drive mechanism - solved immediately!

Another problem with the McLeod clutch, where the pressure plate contact surface was apparently poorly machined and also solved immediately.

I note that I am from Europe.
And I had the parts at my door in a few days.
