700R4 vs. 4L60E

Just out of curiosity, I have a 700R4 with no 3rd or 4th gears in my 1991 c1500.....
I also have a 4L60E out of a 1997 Firebird which is of no use to me as it has the v6 bellhousing.....

Question is, can I take the band and clutches out of the 4L60E and put in the 700R4 and fix my issues, or is this just wishful thinking?

There is some interchangeability, but the V6 clutch packs may have fewer clutches / steels in each.

Take it all apart and if you need parts, order them.
