80,81 scoop solinoid

On an 80 or 81 hood scoop, the solinoid,I guess thats what its called,you know,the thing that works the flap has two wires, one for the ground and the other goes to what. Power I know,but from where? Is there a regulator for it?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I was putting this 80 scoop on a 78 which had no functional scoop therefor having no switch on the gas pedal.I need to get a gas pedal switch and where dose it connect to?

turbo 400 kick down switch works for this im told or go to the dealer they still have em

I've put a manual switch on my floor shift shaft (80Z). The gas pedal switch only functions when floored really hard. It's nice to have full manual control. Unfortunately, as reported in another post, my solenoid quit and apparently no new stock is available.
