Hopefully this is the last of the wiring problems. I thought I had everything fixed until this popped up. My turn signals worked great along with everything else. Now they only work when they want to. I started investigating the problem today, actually been screwing with it on and off all day.
I am not sure, but think I have pinpointed the problem to this wire. It comes out of behind the fuse block. Its brown and white and just one single strand wire, it runs up to a connection on top of the steering column, but before the connection it is soldered onto a big orange wire. Now it only comes out of the fuse block about 5 inches before it was replaced with another piece of wire to where it connects to the orange one. (Old wire was damaged)... The wire coming from the fuse block is getting hot when the turn signal switch is on.... Also before I untapped everything I could take the wires by the connector on the steering column and work them and the turn signals would work or quit working.
Does anyone know a solution to my problem and what this little wire is for?
Thanks
Phillip
