Best engine for a $1500-$2000 budget

WOW $1100 complete?? around here a CORE is about $750-1000 :0

Hell yea!! I have seen cores go for atleast $700 not very many are less than that!

I paid only $175 for my 427. It is a TD block though...

For that price you can either get a good used stockish big block (unless you find a killer deal) or a nice fresh small block with some decent upgrades.

Im gonna replace my 305 with a GM goodwrench 350. Not much hp at 260hp but its only $1400 and will be great for daily duty.
