Cabels to the distributor?

I´m going to install a MSD 6AL in my -75 and i wounder witch one of the 2 cabels that went to the old distributor i´m going to use.
There are only 2, one Blue and och Black.
I think that the blue goes to the ignition but i´m not sure.
I dont have a original tach installed yet.

Just about every hookup you can imagine is in the MSD Instructions. Just pick out which distrubutor you have from the diagrams and have at it!

Im kind of confused by your question. My HEI had 2 wires going to it. One for a hot electrical source which was a thick orange wire and a small black one that went to the Tach. The Tach wire has a resister a foot from the end,

Thats whats strange, mine are black and blue.

Can the blue cabel be the one for the oilpressure sensor?
